Misrepresenting History of Freedom?

Why is the USA being lead away from their history by those who either do not know it or purposely twist it into something wrong?  Many monuments have been removed in recent past due to people twisting history as an issue to suit their current political desires. The most recent political distraction is the original American flag.  The USA flag (current and past) represents freedom!  Written proof is in the legal documents of the constitution and the Bill of Rights (amendments 1-10).

Please stop stomping on the flag and abusing the rights of its citizens by telling lies or showing disrespect.  If you can not do that, then at least research history before slandering and falsely accusing something you do not truly understand.  Having the right of free speech should not include purposeful misinformation or misrepresentation (aka fake news). Then again some who are ill-informed or deceitful might consider that censorship instead of common sense, which is typically for the good of the most people.
